Apple plans to turn iPad into a laptop-like device
Apple is expected to announce significant changes to its iPad software next week. iPadOS 16 will have a redesigned multitasking interface that will bring the experience of using apps on the tablet closer to laptops.
The iPad accounts for nearly 9% of Apple's annual sales, a trend that has been growing over the past four years. Consumers have long asked the company to improve the interface. Additional accessories, such as a keyboard, combined with new software should satisfy the needs of users.
