FTX spent $40 million on hotels, lunches and travel

From January to September of last year FTX allocated about $40 million on flights, business lunches and expensive hotels, reports Insider, citing court records.

Of the designated amount, the company spent $15.4 million on hotels, $6.9 million on entertainment and restaurants, and another $3.9 million on business class flights.

As for restaurants and catering, FTX wrote checks for $1.4 million and $1 million to Grand Hyatt Baha Mar and Six Stars Catering. Bankman-Fried's lunch alone at Cocoplum Bahamian cost the company an average of $2,500.
