The Times reports that in response to Russian aggression, France has decided to increase the presence of nuclear submarines

"Three French nuclear-powered missile submarines were simultaneously deployed at sea for the first time in three decades in response to rattling weapons from Russia.

Two of the four French submarines carrying Triomphant-class ballistic missiles have left their base at Ile Long south of Brest, supporting the only vessel normally on constant patrol under the Atlantic," the paper said.
