Binance handed over users' personal data to the FSB

In April 2021, the FSB met with the Russian director of the cryptocurrency exchange Binance and asked him to provide personal data on the exchange's users. The information required by the intelligence services included the names and addresses of Binance users. The head of Binance in Russia, Gleb Kostarev, agreed to the request and shared the database with the security services. Kostarev also said that he "had no choice".
