Europe stops producing fertilizers
The increase in gas prices by almost 30% since mid-August caused a wave of shutdowns of European fertilizer production facilities.
Within a few days, major companies in Norway, Germany, Poland, Lithuania, France, Great Britain and Hungary announced the reduction of production or closure of plants.
Overall, according to analysts, more than 10% of global ammonia capacity will leave the market, which will support the already high prices for fertilizers in the world.
