Philippines dismantles crypto-pyramid scheme where illegal aliens were working

The Philippine National Police (PNP), with the help of international agencies, has successfully completed an operation to rescue over a thousand victims of human trafficking.

Law enforcement reports show that they were lured into the country and forced to participate in an online scam promoting bogus investments in cryptocurrency.

Police raided several buildings and managed to detain several dozen criminals and free 1,090 "slaves" who worked 18 hours a day.

They were immigrants from various countries in Asia who had been lured with the promise of a "better life. On the spot, their documents were taken from them and they were forced to participate in online fraud
