Russians may stop issuing visas - Rossiyskaya Gazeta

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation does not rule out stopping the issuance of Schengen visas to Russians. This statement was made by Ivan Volynkin, director of the consular department of the Foreign Ministry.

August 31 at an informal meeting in Prague, the European foreign ministers will discuss the "voluntary mechanism" of reducing visa issuance to Russians.

The decisions made in Prague may become the norm for the entire European Union in the future.
