Sweden to apply for NATO membership in June - media
Swedish Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson intends to apply for the country's membership in NATO. The state, which now has a neutral status, is likely to become a member of the Alliance by the end of summer 2022.
This is reported by Svenska Dagbladet, citing sources in the government.
According to the newspaper, the application is planned to be submitted at the summit of the Alliance in Madrid on June 29-30.
