Ukraine plans to adopt new EU cryptocurrency rules

Ukrainian authorities are following the European Parliament's lead in announcing plans to adopt MiCA rules on crypto-assets.

"The legislative rules will be fully operational in 2024. We are already working with colleagues from the NCCSD and other regulators to implement part of the MiCA provisions so that crypto-assets are legal in Ukraine as well," Yaroslav Zheleznyak, deputy chairman of the Ukrainian Tax Committee, wrote.
