Waller at the Fed: It's unclear whether we will have a recession, despite weak GDP data

I support 75 basis points at the July meeting and will probably advocate a 50 basis point increase at the September meeting.

I think recession fears are exaggerated. Inflation is a tax on economic activity, and if we don't reduce it, it will lead to bad economic outcomes down the road.
