Yuan in demand: Russians bought Chinese currency for 39 billion rubles in August

The Central Bank has published market statistics for last month. It shows that Russians have set a record since the beginning of the year in buying yuan - 39 billion rubles. The volume of Chinese currency trading is growing and getting a stronger foothold in the Russian market.

The document also shows that in July and August, private investors bought Chinese and Hong Kong shares to the amount of about 14.4 billion rubles through SPE Exchange.
