Turkey made demands in exchange for Sweden's and Finland's approval to join NATO:
- Sweden's and Finland's declaration of the Kurdistan Workers' Party as a terrorist organization;
- Lifting the arms embargo;
- Reintroduction of the F-35 fighter jet into the program;
- Approval of a new F-16 fighter jet procurement package;
- Lifting sanctions on the S-400 SAM.
