The metal band Metallica's charitable foundation has donated $500,000 to World Central Kitchen, a nonprofit organization that provides food to Ukrainian refugees.

Lars Ulrich, the famous drummer and co-founder of the band, commented on the donation. He expressed admiration for the work of WCK and its leader, Chef Jose Andres.

"We are inspired, delighted and proud to support their teams, who are currently in six European countries helping millions of Ukrainians displaced from their homes. WCK embodies everything Metallica and our All Within My Hands Foundation stands for, providing decent food and hope around the world," said Ulrich
